Greg Skage, a senior at the Air Force Academy, prevailed in a pole vault tiebreaker with teammate Mitch Lipe to win the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championship at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. Skage and Lipe both cleared 16-7.25 (5.06m), then Skage cleared 16-5.25 (5.01m) during the tiebreaker vault-off to secure the title.
