Utah State senior Cierra Simmons placed second in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:56.58 at the Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Simmons elevated to the No. 10 collegiate performer this season.
